Genesis House - An emergency shelter for families facing
imminent danger due to domestic violence. The shelter provides
free, safe housing and support services for up to fifteen (15)
people. (Battered men are provided free safe housing at other sites)

Phoenix House - Program fees determined by income. Eligibility:
homeless due to domestic violence; need for support services to become
self-sufficient. 9 units. Residents may stay in program for up to 24
mos.

Crisis Intervention - Short-term counseling and support groups
for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. Free services.

Two 24-Hour Hotlines - Serving victims of sexual assault and
domestic violence. Free. Sexual Assault Hotline: (860) 442-4357 or
(860) 886-4376. Domestic Violence Hotline: (860) 701-6000 or (860)
886-4370.

Violence is Preventable (VIP) - An educational program provided
to school children in area schools. No fee is charged to students.
Grants, contributions and fund-raising cover costs to schools. Parents
Component available as requested.
Community Education
- For civic, religious and other community groups as requested or
targeted by the Education and Prevention Department. These programs
are usually free, although we do accept honorariums.
Educational Programs
for Businesses
- Sexual Harassment, Anger Management, Workplace Violence are provided
on a fee for service basis.
